2012 SI Swimsuit Edition in Panama
Back in March of 2011, we were contacted to help with logistics for the 2012 edition. Moving the models and crews around Panama could only be accomplished with terrific flight crews and a thorough knowledge of what is possible in Panama.
For example, San Blas does not have the infrastructure to support the filming needs for such a large shoot as SI. We suggested the research vessel, R/V Proteus, as a home base for 5 days in San Blas. Accommodating 19 people, Proteus enabled the SI crew plentiful power to recharge portable equipment, air conditioned comfort, sleeping quarters, and good meals while on board.
The helicopters we used were two EC-130s, the B3 and an R44. We note with more than a little satisfaction the videos of the later SI locations featured helicopters too. Guess we spoiled them forever.
Supermodel Izabel Goulart’s favorite memory is of the flights over the rainforest to and from Panama City.
